  1. I was really impressed with the Glogster application! As a Special Ed teacher, my students require more interactive and hands-on experiences, and this tool is perfect for both. The Glogster I embedded is one I intend to use this week as my kids are having a really difficult time identifying living and nonliving things. This application will take much more playing around with to perfect future posters, but again, I can definitely see how this will beneficial in my classroom.

  2. Delicious is another great tool I was excited to learn about! I generally bounce between computers and different web browsers so this is a great solution for compiling bookmarks. Moving toward an expected bookmark that was saved on a different browser is very frustrating so I am excited to start using this site. I can see it being helpful not only for my classroom, but also for saving bill pay websites, recipes, and countless other links. What a neat tool!

  3. Google Docs is another incredible resource that I wasn't fully aware of and is certainly my favorite of the three applications so far. Of course, I had heard of this site, but I didn't know how incredibly useful it could be when working sometimes from home and sometimes from school. I really like the privacy setting options, the accessibility, and that much of the formatting is the same as the Microsoft counterparts. No more flash drives or emailing documents to myself over and over again!

  4. Pinterest is an excellent source for teachers! This site allows you to "pin" images from websites that you'd like to return to in the future. Pinterest is very user-friendly and makes it easy to create and organize pins and boards for future reference. You can even download a "Pin It" button to your browser so that pins can be created directly from your current website. I've gotten many wonderful ideas from other educators from Pinterest and also pin helpful blogs and websites.

  5. The Wiki I created was easily used alongside my Google Doc for our upcoming field trip so it was neat to use them together. I think this application could be really useful for team meetings, documents, reminders, updates, and even lesson planning! It's a great way to collaborate without sending tons of emails back and forth.

  6. I enjoyed creating a video with Animoto; I chose this applicaiton because this is the site many others in my school use. It's easy to use but very limited under the free edition. I can't wait to spend more time playing around with the other digital story sites because I know my class would love these! As a special ed teacher, I use many pictures paired with text, but this technology would make stories even more appealing to my students.

  7. The Web 2.0 Source I used was Scribble Maps. My students are obsessed with maps this year so I knew this was something they would enjoy. Scribble Maps would be an awesome addition to our Social Studies center and will allow students to identify our city, state, country, and continent online for the rest of the class to see. I just know they're going to love it! I'm also excited to explore with many of the other sources provided.
